Reviews Overview

Most Liked

The Priory Cafe is well-loved for its home-cooked meals, particularly the famous homemade chips, which locals rave about as the best in Wrexham. Customers frequently praise the accommodating staff who are always ready to engage and make your experience pleasant. The breakfast menu, featuring dishes like The Priory Breakfast and the Full Monty, offers generous portions that satisfy. Many also appreciate the cozy atmosphere, perfect for relaxing over coffee or enjoying lunch. The children’s menu adds bonus points, making it a go-to spot for families. And let’s not forget the desserts; the homemade cakes have a dedicated following!

Most Disliked

While most experiences are positive, some patrons note occasional wait times during peak hours, especially on Thursdays around 11 AM when the cafe reaches full capacity. This can lead to a crowded atmosphere, which some find overwhelming. A few also mention that the limited parking options during busier times can be a challenge, requiring some strategic planning. The need for clearer signage for the takeaway area has also been suggested. Despite these minor complaints, the overall experience remains enjoyable for the majority of visitors.

Visiting from Canada, found The Priory Cafe while on a walk and came back for breakfast and would definitely recommend the Cafe. We had the Priory Breakfast and it was delicious. First time we have ever had fried bread and loved it. Love this Cafe!!

Love this cafe. Really good food at good prices. Their chips are the best in Wrexham IMHO. Staff are always friendly and happy to pass the time of day with you. The cafe is a nice clean environment cheerfully decorated. This cafe soon becomes a favorite place to visit when in town. I can confidently recommend.

Treated the family to a morning breakfast. Heard good things about The Priory so thought we'd give it a try. So glad we did! We had varied breakfasts which included vegetarian, light, normal & large sizes along with child portion of sausage & chips. Included were hot drinks plus we also purchased extra drinks & the children were given stickers & chocolates. Made welcome as soon as we entered & they rearranged tables so as we could sit together. Not pestered either whilst we were eating & left to eat in peace. Very friendly staff, cheaper than I thought & worth every penny! Will definately be returning!

My Favourite Cafe in Wrexham, been coming here for some time now for Breakfast, another favourite if i come after mid-day is the Cheese and Onion Quiche with Chips all home made. Staff are pleasant and happy to talk to you, food comes quickly which is important to me as i'm usually always running late.
